Visuvamadu is a village in the interior of the Mullaitivu district of Sri Lanka. A village hamlet that faced destruction in the 30 year civil war in Sri Lanka.

Visuvamadu is a agrarian community heavily dependent on water, for it’s livelihood. With the end of the civil war, agriculture became more commercialised with more land available for cultivation. Yet water availability is a desperate need in this village.
